About the land

What if I have a question you haven't answered here?

Talk to one of the Directors of KHTI, or a staff person, or send your question to the KHTI address. We will try to answer all of your questions, and if your question is of general interest, we'll include it here.

Will there be quiet and noisy ends of the site?

That will not be under the control of KHTI, but rather of the West Kingdom. The ability of groups to do this will depend to a large extent on the physical layout of the site and whether there are any hills, trees, or other natural sound barriers. It is likely that any designated "quiet area" will be physically separated from the bulk of the camping, since bardic circles, victory parties and general noise making will always be with us. If there are no natural sound barriers, then we will continue to rely on courtesy.

Will the land be a "dry site"?

As California has no dry counties, there will be no legal barriers to the consumption of alcohol. Anyone past their twenty-first birthday will be able to bring legal potables to the site as they wish. Anyone caught giving or selling alcohol to minors will be dealt with appropriately.
